Security analysts reviewing application findings in a realistic security office
CYBERSECURITY AND TECHNOLOGY

Turn security findings into accountable action.

Plan authorized application, API, infrastructure and AI security assessments with remediation evidence and retesting.

Make testing permission explicitPrioritize actionable findingsAssign remediation ownership
THE INDUSTRY CHALLENGE

An assessment matters when the right team can act on it.

Application owners and security teams need an agreed view of scope, exposure and remediation priorities. Reports without ownership or retest evidence can leave the same question unresolved at the next review.

The planned Security Assurance portfolio connects authorized testing, documented findings and verification of fixes. It does not represent an existing certification service, a managed SOC or permission to test third-party systems.

  • Testing boundaries and permission are unclear
  • Findings have no accountable remediation owner
  • Fixes are closed without independent retest evidence

  3. Retain context

Application and API assessment

Challenge Teams need to understand risks in an agreed release.

Proposed workflow Define authorized scope and evaluate access controls, input handling and workflows.

Expected benefit Produce actionable findings for the application owner.

Cybersecurity and Technology / 02
Identity and cloud configuration review
  1. Collect records
  2. Authorized review
  3. Retain context

Identity and cloud configuration review

Challenge Configuration decisions can create unintended access.

Proposed workflow Review agreed roles, trust boundaries and deployment settings.

Expected benefit Make required configuration changes traceable.

Cybersecurity and Technology / 03
Software and AI assurance
  1. Collect records
  2. Authorized review
  3. Retain context

Software and AI assurance

Challenge Dependencies and model workflows introduce separate risks.

Proposed workflow Assess the agreed supply chain and AI use context with documented limitations.

Expected benefit Support evidence-based release decisions.

Cybersecurity and Technology / 04
Remediation and retesting
  1. Collect records
  2. Authorized review
  3. Retain context

Remediation and retesting

Challenge A reported fix may not address the original condition.

Proposed workflow Assign owners, record changes and retest the agreed finding.

Expected benefit Distinguish remediation evidence from an unverified closure.

THE BUSINESS VALUE

Outcomes worth designing for.

01

Make testing permission explicit

Produce actionable findings for the application owner.

02

Prioritize actionable findings

Make required configuration changes traceable.

03

Assign remediation ownership

Support evidence-based release decisions.

04

Keep retest evidence reviewable

Distinguish remediation evidence from an unverified closure.

Qualitative objectives for evaluation, not measured performance claims.

DEPLOYMENT, SECURITY AND GOVERNANCE

Agree the operating boundaries first.

Design the cybersecurity and technology workflow around its records, users and responsibilities.

Explore deployment planning Explore planned Security Assurance
Deployment and residency
Confirm Cloud, On-premise or Hybrid support by product. Agree data location and operational responsibilities; the entire portfolio is not already available in every mode.
Roles and approvals
Define who may submit, review, approve and retrieve cybersecurity and technology records. Keep acceptance decisions with authorized personnel.
Evidence and retention
Agree the records needed for enquiry or audit, review periods, legal holds where required, and disposal responsibilities.
Integration and validation
Define system boundaries, reference matching, authentication and failure handling. Confirm local regulatory and customer approvals before rollout.
COMMON QUESTIONS

Plan with the right expectations.

Will CEBS test our production systems immediately?

No. Assessment availability, authorized targets, rules of engagement, data handling and operational windows must be agreed before any activity.

Is this a certification or a compliance guarantee?

No. Planned assessments can support an organization’s assurance work, but do not establish certification or guarantee compliance.

Does this include a managed security operations center?

No managed SOC, incident response retainer or continuous monitoring service is implied by this planned portfolio.

Can an assessment guarantee the absence of vulnerabilities?

No. Results are bounded by scope, methods, access and time. Report limitations and agree retesting after material changes.

Can AI systems be assessed separately?

Yes, plan a context-specific assessment of data handling, misuse risks and evaluation evidence. This does not qualify a fraud detector for production use.
